Senior Brown Bag Program
March 4 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, repeating indefinitely
Enables seniors age 60 or older to remain independent as long as possible by giving them a “Brown Bag” with approximately 10 to 14 food items twice a month. Items may include fresh fruit, canned vegetables, oatmeal, bottled beverages, pasta and canned meat. Seniors pick up Brown Bags from 11 sites throughout Napa Valley, or volunteer drivers deliver food to those who are infirm or disabled. An average of 220 households are served monthly.
For updates or if your organization would like to be added to this list, please contact Feeding It Forward via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The requirements are limited, but the food should be free or at a very reduced rate, located in Napa County to help fed people in need (food insecure). It should be an ongoing recurring event. Please include the information as displayed. Note: all organizations must comply with the Napa County Environmental Health and other regulations as required.
